According to Interfax, referring to a statement by representatives of the annexed LNR, Viktor Vodolatsky, who is the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots and a member of the United Russia faction, was injured during the shelling in Luhansk.
He has consistently supported the Russian military intervention in Ukraine and is under sanctions by the EU, USA, UK, and several other countries.
Six children were also injured during the shelling. According to the head of the annexed LNR, Leonid Pasechnik, four minors received assistance at the scene, while two teenagers with moderate injuries were taken to the hospital.
- The authorities of the annexed LNR and Russia accuse Ukrainian troops of shelling Luhansk. The authorities of Ukraine either do not comment on these statements or speak of provocations from the Russian side.
